Precision Rifles.....show em!!

Hey Zero MOA can you tell me more about the 17 hmr?

Here's mine as of now. I'm waiting on my better scope to come in so for the time being I'm just running a Nikon Buckmaster on it. Started life as a Remington AAC-SD. I changed the stock out to a HS precision and bedded the action. Had a precision armament bolt knob installed. Now it's time to develop a handload for it. It's wearing a Dead Air Armament Sandman-L suppressor. The stainless barreled is a Ruger 10/22 with KIDD heavy barrel and Dead Air Armament Mask HD.

Started life as a Remington 700 ADL Varmint in .308. Been gathering parts for about a year and finally put her together this winter.

McMillan A3-5
Barrel cut and crowned to 20''
Viper PST 6x24 FFP
Nightforce base
Seekins rings
Atlas PSR with ADM QD
PTG DBM

Shoots FGMM 175's very well, around .5-7 MOA routinely. Shoots the 168's OK. Still have less than 100 rounds through her so the groups may settle down even more. Overall pretty happy with how she turned out

Nice rifle. What action is that? Can't tell if it's a Rem700, Howa 1500, or something else...? Either way, I dig it!... Disregard, I just saw another post with the details and got my answer. Nice Howa!

This is my 7mm-08 Rem. I salvaged the R700 SA from a .308 Win. SPS rifle that wouldn't shoot for crap. The action was pretty true from factory and the bolt lugs make essentially full contact. The bolt timing was perfect as well (rare I know). I tuned the old style Rem trigger. The rifle now has a beefier PTG recoil lug, a McGowen 24" 1 in 9 Sendero contour barrel, a PTG barrel nut, and rides in an XLR Element chassis. I recently added a tactical bolt knob as well. I'm running the Magpul magazine which is another cost cutting move. The optic is a cheap SWFA SS 10x42. This set up will shoot lights out with ELD-M 162s and 43.5 and 44.0 gr of IMR 4451. It's a 0.3-0.4 MOA every time I do my part. This round keeps up with the 6.5s at distance, even with high winds. This was a really cheap build that will hang with $5k rigs.

I did a little paperwork today with this rifle after changing my seating depth to better fit the magazine. Group size really didn't change much but POI changed a little.
