A few pictures of my RPR Customshop in 6mm CM. Vortex Razor Gen 2, ARC M-10 QD-L, MDT CKYE Pod

They work for what ranges i currently use but if i had more room i could see the need for better clarity at longer distances currently limited to 600

Finally took the leap and got a rifle to start the journey with. Nothing fancy. Bergara BMP in 6.5 Creedmoor. Topped with a vortex strike eagle. MDT vertical grip. And an AAC single port brake
Hi just read your post ,I have the same model , just installing the same pistol grip with a 3 port MDT muzzle brake ,Leupold MK4 4.5 x 14.5 x 50 TMR , very similar setup , using it for PRS style shoots in New Zealand .
I'm finding I'm getting vertical stringing for higher count shot strings ,10 _ 12 Rnd strings .
Have you found similar issues ?

I've not seen any issues like that so far but I haven't done a whole lot of strings over 10(ammo is kinda hard to find in my area at the moment). But if I do happen to notice any in the future I will certainly reply and let you know if I do. What kind of ammo were you using?

Have you used the ZCO 5-27?

Do you feel the gain in FOV is worth the trade off of mag? Any other notes on glass, light transmission, etc. you care to speak to?

I ask because the 4-20 is seeming more and more like the better choice since I rarely go over 20x unless I'm trying to "spot" or view groupings, etc. I mean, I do use over 20x because I have it and the lever doesn't stop at 20 but I'm fairly certain I wouldn't miss it in competition and it may actually improve my performance with the larger FOV and less mag when you*/I are in the moment and just grabbing magnification on the clock.

*I mean 'you' in a general sense, not you specifically.

And one more time, That rifle scratches my itch. If you know what I mean.

I haven't used the ZCO 5-27, but I've used scopes with 25x max magnification before. So far I don't miss the extra magnification and I've taken it out to 1200 yards.

In my limited experience lower magnification makes it easier to spot misses.

And thank you, it scratches mine too, which is why I built it

It sure will feel good to get the boomer out again. I haven’t shot it in over 11 months. (It took that long to get the barrel I wanted.) Come on spring!

PGWdti C14 TimberWolf .338LM
Hawk Hills barrel finished at 31”, 1:9” twist, 1.25” straight contour
Insite 5 port Heathen brake
NF NXS (sfp) 8-32x56 on a Spuhr mount
US Optics anti-cant bubble level
LRA F-class bipod

Load development will be forthcoming when the temperature gets above 50f. I’ll be trying a new powder for me, IMR4831. The bullets, brass, and primers won’t change. Lapua cases, Federal 215m primers, and 300gr SMK’s.

It’s hard to tell how big that new barrel is from the pictures. You just need to see it first hand. That’s why I call it a truck axle barrel.

Front is defiance ruckus with a 20” proof 308, manners lrh stock, bix&andy prosport 2 stage, area 419 muzzle brake and arca rail, and mdt ckyepod. Running a vector continental 3-18, complete rifle is 9lbs 6oz

Furthest away is a lone peak fuzion with a 26” hawk hill 6gt barrel, trigger tech diamond 2 stage, manners prs2, area 419 brake, harris bipod, topped with a zco 4-20
