Hey guys:

I purchased a used Premier 5-25X by 56mm 1-2 weeks ago. I wanted to report the finest customer support that I've experienced yet. In the past...I've dealt with NightForce, Leupold, Bushnell and Burris. For many years I've thought NightForce's customer service could not be beat...Well, I was wrong. Premier is and will be #1 in my book. I was able to send my scope in for a cleaning and thorough inspection. The scope needed some "O" rings and a couple of other minor parts....and the scope was deemed "as good as new!" I had numerous emails with the guy in charge of QC for the company, Paul. This man is amazing!! He takes the time to converse with customers and actually handles each scope.

For a company to take the time to help "Joe Blow" out with his used scope...and not charge for this service is tremendous! I had to send a NightForce BR scope in many years ago...they sent it back second day air after having the scope for only two days...which speaks volumes for them...but Premier is tops. Leupold's service is o.k. but I've found Busnell and Burris to be unacceptable...in terms of how long it took them and the end result of repairs.

If any of you has been contemplating the purchase of an ultra premium scope...I would highly recommend looking at Premier. I think their glass is amazing...as good or better than an IOR that I've owned...and the customer support / service is second to none! You definately get what you pay for.

Wayne

P.S.

These are my experiences, YMMV.

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

My only and it is about the only reservation is really the longevity of the company. And this is by no means a dis of any sort. I hear about people that bought a Zeiss scope or bino 25 yrs ago and Zeiss still bends over backwards to take care of them or just sends a new gear when they dont have parts to service the old stuff. With some of the newer players i always wonder if they will be around in 10,20 or 30 yrs.

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

Nice to hear a company standing behind their product and delivering customer service, especially since it is in general rare these days.

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

Yes...Even though I've just been lurking in these parts....I've been waiting to purchase such a scope. It is amazingly reassuring to me that such a company stands behind their product....to clean , check out and repair a used scope that they produced.

I feel very fortunate to have finally pulled the trigger ( preverbial ) on such a scope. I can say with all honesty...that I'll be looking for a Premier for further projects!

But as you probably already know...this company has been around for 60+ years. I had contemplated having them do a reticle and magnification upgrade on a Leupold scope @ 10-15 years ago....they were the "Go to people" then. As far as I'm concerned now....they are the "go to people" with their new scope. After briefly handling my new ( Used ) scope....mounting it and boresighting....this is the best scope I've ever had the pleasure to own. I would not / will not hesitate to own more Premier Heritage scopes. Paul has been absolutely amazing....but the proof is in their scopes....which is better than my NF's and IOR that I've owned. I'm just a common Joe off the street but this scope and company are amazing! Don't be afraid to own one of these amazing scopes.

Yeah, I heard they were going out of business because there were only a couple of cars in the parking lot one day... and somehow retailers can't keep the 5-25X56mm in stock.

This used to be a concern of mine, but I am way past it. I think they have the financial strength to go the long haul.

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

I too have nothing but great things to say about Premier. I recently purchased a 3-15x50 with the Gen II XR to mount on a REPR and love it! With the price of these scopes, I weighed the decision to purchase for some time; however, Premier's excellent product, top notch CS, easily accessible individuals (more details below), and the finest warranty made me really comfortable with my decision. Prior to purchasing, I had several questions; Chris (owner) frequents the Hide and responds to questions very promptly. How many companies can say this? I would like to say thanks to Chris and Premier for an excellent product and top notch service!!! Please don't change and I will be a continued customer!!

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

That's always a catch-22 for any business: People will only buy its products if they think it will be around to service them. But the company will only be around if people by its products.

I think you can look at the length of time Premier has been in business overall, its general reputation for innovation, quality and customer service and be reasonably confident in the company. A further assurance is that the products themselves are pretty bomber. Sure, a few are going to wear or break, but I'd bet most users could squeeze 20 or more years of use out of one.

Paul, do the new mod that USO is doing and add a bubble level into the scope.

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

I have also been very happy with the service from Paul. I was experiencing the "mushy" click issue with some of the earlier 3x15 models. Paul offered to take the scope back and make the modification in house, but I opted to follow his clearly written instructions. Worked perfectly.

Re: Premier Heritage Customer Service

Nice to see the cs is starting to turn around at premier! Just wish it would have been like this a couple years ago. Really do miss my 3-15.
