I like the power range and the fact that it's FFP but looking at the reticle image the lines look thick and I'm not familar with the glass quality. </div></div>

The PFI Glass quality is top notch. I own the 6x (older) version of the 17HMR Rapid Reticle and the crosshairs are fine for targeting anything out to 300 yards. The reticle you might be seeing online is a photoshop "likeness" of the real thing. These scopes are bright and the reticles work as advertised. The 3-9x32 .22 and .17 scopes are overbuilt and will have no problem giving years of great service. Speaking of which, a2ztactical.com has a special on all PFI scopes until June 30th. Use the coupon code A2Z4PFI and you will get 20% off the MAP price and $8.00 flat shipping.

I have one of the 3-9 for 22lr and love it. Glass quality is excellent and reticle is not to thick, but IMHO it does get a little busy when trying to do target work (could just be personal preference). In the interest of full disclosure, I use this scope on my 77/22 which I mainly use for hunting. I use a scope with a mil-dot on my custom 10/22 which is mostly for target shooting.

Here, here! I have 3 of them and it's my favorite optic/reticle for long-range coyote shooting. Had 1 on an AR-15 for that prpose and just recald. the reticle for my AR load. I now have 1 on my Ruger Charger and the reticle is dead nuts on for 100-200 yds. using catridges whose ballistics fit the subtension of the reticle. Here's a pic of the 3-9x 22 LR reticle and the 250-yd. coke can on the 2nd shot--

going to pick one of the 3-9x32 17hmr scopes up for my savage that has been scopeless for the winter. Should be great out to 200 with the 17, and with ffp.
