Primers: Standard vs. Match

A 'burning' question (pun intended):

Has anyone out there tried testing, all other things being equal, match primers vs. non-match primers? It would be curious to see if any practical difference would appear out to, say, 600 yards in terms of accuracy.

My targets and chronograph say there is no difference, YMMV.

Interesting. I wonder what the actual QA/QC difference is? Perhaps just visual inspection?

Take this for what its worth, as I do not remember where I got the info. It may have been from a reloading forum or an interview/tour I watched or a book I have read.

As I recall, the difference (at least with federal primers) is the match primers are assembled by staff that have had a lot of experience making primers and have had years to prefect their technique.

I personally shoot the BR primers, but unless you are shooting a BR type rifle, I doubt you will see a noticeable difference on paper.

I have no difference in velocity or group size between Winchester large rifle and CCI BR2 primers.
