Hello all. Has anyone else had problems with Odin works barrels ? I’ve had this 6.5 Grendel barrel now for about 6 months it’s been back to the factory once and i was Told it had a tight chamber. I’ve tested plenty of factory ammo with no success and it won’t even cycle wolf steel cased ammo. Best i can Do is a touch over 1” at 100 yards with reloads. Just sucks I’ve spent all this time and money and have gotten no where with it.

Yes! I have a 12 inch Grendel barrel and it totally sucks. I’ve gone so far as to put the barrel into two different uppers, one of which is an Odin upper. I’ve changed scopes, scope mounts, lowers, barrel nuts,...etc. Nothing has worked. I’ve reached out to Odin warranty section and have been pretty disappointed with their service. I feel like I shouldn’t have to work this hard to make their product work. Best group so far is about 2 moa. So the last straw was taking a buddy’s Faxon barrel and putting into my upper. It shot a .75moa with a bunch of different loads, so it’s damn sure not my upper. Odin sucks and I won’t buy their barrels again.

I must be lucky, my Odin Works barrel in creedmoor is pulling 1/2 MOA. I'm pretty thrilled with it. I did go with the match grade, not sure if that matters to your comparison or not.

I am sorry to hear! Do you plan on submitting another warranty claim?
Probably eventually. I’m a big fan of the Grendel. I just ordered a LaRue Ultimate upper in Grendel. It’s much longer (6inches) but I’ve had an OBR .308 for a few years and it’s the best rifle I’ve ever owned. I really like LaRue.

Not sure about the match grade...don’t remember that being an option when I ordered it. I like the short guns for hog hunting. I’ve got a short Wilson Combat in 6.8 spc that is a laser beam.

have you tried calling them if they made it maybe they can fix it if there is anything really wrong with it . Either way good luck getting it fixed it sure is a pretty gun . and would be a shame to not see it work correctly .

The wolf ammo is no big loss, my grendel AR shoots 2 moa or worse with it. So does my CZ 527. No problems functioning though.
None of the factory ammo I tried does better than 1.5 moa in my AR. With hand loads my groups are right at about 1 moa, with some sub moa.
I've got a bear creek barrel though. I can understand why you'd expect more with a hand lapped Odin Works barrel.

My Odin works Grendel barrel shoots sub moa with loads developed for another- longer - barrel, with a heavier profile, from a different manufacturer (JP). Not as tight as the JP, but damned fine in its own right. I’d have no qualms shootingit in a club level “PRS” match.

Is that a 7.62x39 mag? Try a purpose built Grendel mag. The ASC Grendel mags (10 round) have been superb in my experience. The e-lander 10 round mags run great too, though I’ve had issues with the 17 rounders.
