Protection for a small head

Looking for ear muffs. Wear a medium hat and have a few sets of cheap muffs that just don’t adjust small enough.

I like to wear muffs and plugs, am looking for a set of muffs, electronic or not, does not matter. Needs to fit a head on the smaller side, also be low profile, as I sometimes have cheek weld problems with muffs on.

Guys with small heads out there? What muffs do you recommend.

If I were you, I'd look into the electronic plugs. The walkers are pretty affordable compared to a lot of them.

I know they make kids muffs. I’m looking for a higher end, low profile set of muffs that fits smaller heads.

I have considered the electronic plug route, but prefer shooting with plugs and muffs when shooting brakes rifles.


The easy solution is to just get a bunch of suppressors and rifles that support them.... one day.

In a previous life as an engineer at a condom factory in the South, I was working with a packaging company in MN to purchase an automated packaging machine. They needed a pallet of condoms to trial the machine. Found some for the South American market marked "Yankee" and shipped them north. When I arrived later, they started in on me for sending them "Yankee" condoms....

I told them they were made on our Extra Small condom formers and sent up North. LOL! We got along fine after that,

The MSA Sordins are good for small heads.

I wear a medium hat and the MSA Sordins fit excellent. They don't interfere with MY cheek weld at all. Little pricey but worth it to me.

There are several pills on the market that can help. I mean, I don't know from experience but I've heard things.

MSA sordins are on the list. Don’t necessarily need electric muffs but I guess it can’t hurt.

Are the gel cups worth the extra?

The Supreme Pro X come with the gel cups, and yes I think it's worth it. Very comfortable.

The peltor passive muffs also fit small heads well. I haven't tried their electronic ones.

Yes! The gel cups are worth it. They make a huge difference in comfort. Most Sordin users would agree.
