I don't have any issue with police repelling the protesters, with fire hoses, rubber bullets, or whatever it takes. The problem is that in many cities (as in Portland, Oregon) the police apparently have orders to stand down, and not interfere with antifa, and to not defend people who are being assaulted by antifa.
However it seems those same police have orders to take down anyone or any group trying to defend themselves effectively from the Antifa goons and especially anyone trying to provide organized safety to business or groups of folks wanting their turn at free speech.
Which kind of means that the "just following orders" types are actually for all intents and purposes Antifa helpers and protectors and basically the law arm of the Antifa goons.
