Ok, I'm really proud of this one, so I have to brag a little. I'm not the best shot by any means and I never take pics of my groups, but I had to with this one. Yes, it is cherry-picked and I'm sure luck was a huge part of this group! Anyways, this is a 5 shot group (Yes, it is really 5 rds in there) at 103 yds with my 6.5 grendel. 20" barrel upper receiver from Radical Firearms with a Seekins ATC brake, BPM lower with Gieselle SD-E, PRS stock, NF Atacr F1 4-16 in ARC M10 rings on a 20moa EGW rail riser. Shot with Wolf Gold 120 gr MPT factory ammo....

I've gotten lots of sub-moa 5 shot groups, lots of half-moa 3 rd groups, but holy shit! This is a personal best for me with a cheap factory upper, cheaper factory ammo, etc... The stars just aligned for me on this group and I freaking love it!!! Now I just have to work on replicating this...

Thanks guys! I was definitely surprised to ever see that kind of group from that particular upper and with Wolf ammo... Shocked the hell out of me! The 2 stage trigger was definitely a nice aide in breaking the shots at the right moment. At first I thought I missed a couple shots, but sure enough when I collected my target, all 5 rds made a nice hole that could be covered by a dime. Can't wait to get back out and do some more shooting! This set up will be coming with me on my mule deer hunt this year.

Thanks gentlemen. I know there are some mixed reviews out there with Radical Firearms, but I haven't had any issues with mine and am pretty happy with the results so far. Especially for an upper that was less than $500 (I think...?) shooting factory rds.... Gotta love it!

Ha Ha! Ya know, I actually thought about doing just that. I never take pics of my groups at the range but I just had to with this one. If I can replicate this and do it on a more consistent basis, then I just might.

Nice group, man! I just built a 6.5 grendel in very similar setup but with a 20" Satern barrel. I might have to try that Wolf ammo because I shot some factory Hornady stuff and my groups suck! Something around 1.25-1.5" at 100 and I know that's not just because I'm a bad shot, hah

This is the best that I have done with my 223 AR. The first group is 7 rounds out of a 24" Anderson barrel, the second is 3 out of my 18" Bartlein. The 3 might just be lucky, since I only shot 3.

Can you give me some lessons how to shoot a semi-auto like that?

Hi bud, to be completely honest I'm sure that group was a ton of luck! I have always liked shooting gas guns more than bolt rifles, and I do get decent groups lots of times at the range, but that was a freak occurrence. For me, I just do my best to get a nice comfortable position straight behind/squared up to the rifle, I have the hawk hill spiked feet on my bipod and they help dig in for a solid purchase when I load my bipod. After that, I just concentrate on my breathing and remind myself to slow the hell down! The Geisselle 2 stage trigger is a nice aide for me and I prefer a good 2 stage trigger on my rifles. I try to time my shots after I've taken a few slow in/out breaths to where once my reticle is settled/moving the least, I'll already have hit the wall for that 2nd stage trigger pull.

I hope all that makes sense some what...? I'm not an expert or even a good shot like lots of the guys here. I just do my best to take it slow and easy and really concentrate on the fundamentals. The videos that LL/Frank has posted in the past about proper grip, trigger pull, etc... I watch those and try to soak up as much as I can, and then do my best while at the range to put them into my routine. Hope this helps some.

Thank you sir! Nice shooting to you as well! There's nothing wrong with a little luck. I know luck played a huge part in my group that I posted. Yeah man, some of the factory Hornady ammo shoots very decent in my rifle, but I've just had great results with the Wolf Gold MPT's. They shoot consistently better out of my rifle than anything else, with the Hornady ELD-M and SST's not too far behind it, accuracy wise. I still plan on trying some of the loads from PF, just haven't got around to it yet. So far my rifle prefers the lighter loads (100-120 gr) with its 1-9" twist.

I'll have to check what I put on there. I shot the ELD and the SST and both of them were crap. Hoping some OCW tests will help me find a better load for it.
