No one throws a bolt that works, away...maybe it was lost, maybe he wants special fluting, or building a new rifle, but an intelligent person might also want to change to a different caliber requiring a larger or smaller bolt face diameter in the bolt head..so then he just might buy a bolt for just the different bolt face diameter...
