Hello all! Trying to sus out my future suppressor mounting system..

Choices are tbac cb flash hider or q cherry bomb with whistle tip or suppressed....usually suppressed.

Has anyone used the whistle tip, and if so, was it effective?

Having a specwar changed over to a plan b or the tbac cb adapter, already own a tbac.

Love the way the cherry bomb attaches to the muzzle, love the (lack of) wieght, hate the way it sounds with out a can attached- hence the question regarding the viability of the whistle tip.
Hate the lack of wrench flats on the tbac, usually out of stock- although they are in stock now.

Any other systems that I need to think of?

Thanks!

If you want a direct thread taper mount I'd recommend checking out rearden.

You can get small brakes or hiders.

I have a Q Plan B on a SiCo Omega 300, and use the cherry bombs to swap it between my wifes bolt gun and our ar15's.

The Q is a very elegant system, and I love it's simplicity. There's nothing to fuck up, it's pretty simple and fool proof. The taper system works great as well. It's a shame the owner is a real ass.

I've never used the whistle tip, so curious to hear any feedback on that.

This right here.

Cherry bomb compatible. Just have to wait & be quick when they're in stock.

I think the dead air Zeno would be nice as well and would probably go that route if I didn't already have Reardon on a few different cans. I like the idea of the left hand threads.

This is the route I've recently gone.

I really like the Q Plan B mounting system, and the Rearden mounts seem like the best mounts for our purposes.

I went with the Rearden SPB (single port brake), just recently installed it. In the next week or so I'm going to try it out unsuppressed and suppressed on a 6.5 Creedmoor.
