Get Access SubscribeI have a bunch of barrels, various brands here that I am going to do prefits with, I know there have been some discrepancies before. Just trying to see when it was a problem. I have serial number 901 here as my shop action to use.I have had many rimx actions and the lasering has lined up perfect on all of them but one! The first one I bought back in 2020 s/n 36 always is about an 1/8th turn too much!
on another note, suggestions on how to offer these, set a lower price and what you see is what you get or spend the time to shoot each one like I would if the actions is here(with pics of groups)and charge accordingly ?I think you should be just fine!
Maybe both? What blanks will you be using?on another note, suggestions on how to offer these, set a lower price and what you see is what you get or spend the time to shoot each one like I would if the actions is here(with pics of groups)and charge accordingly ?
What blanks? I would prob just kick them out and not do threading if they were straight blanks. MTU and M24 would prob be better threaded but they seem to fly off the shelf.on another note, suggestions on how to offer these, set a lower price and what you see is what you get or spend the time to shoot each one like I would if the actions is here(with pics of groups)and charge accordingly ?
I have a few Muller 13 twist straights, a 13 and 16 ACE 1.250 straight (Cut) several Lothar 12 and 16 twist MTUs, if these move I may start offering CRB and Mullers on a on the shelf ready to ship basis.Maybe both? What blanks will you be using?
How are the CRBs stacking up?I have a few Muller 13 twist straights, a 13 and 16 ACE 1.250 straight (Cut) several Lothar 12 and 16 twist MTUs, if these move I may start offering CRB and Mullers on a on the shelf ready to ship basis.
I think you are correct; I don't want to send something out that I would want to keep for myself.I have two RimX actions. They are 10-15 degrees different. Both are cut for ModX bolt heads, and I cannot swap my barrels because the extractor cuts do not line up.
I think there is more to lose than gain by selling ones that have not been confirmed to meet your quality standards.
I have several available today and doing more tomorrowDavid - When will the profit barrels be available to purchase?
Pardon my ignorance but is it just as simple as spin one off and spin one on?I have several available today and doing more tomorrow
basically yes, you will need an action wrench and barrel vise.Pardon my ignorance but is it just as simple as spin one off and spin one on?
I have access to those. I have a snap on torque wrench from my wrench turning days. I guess I’m from the old camp of headspace and go and no go gauges so I never did prefits but I like the idea of them.basically yes, you will need an action wrench and barrel vise.
The headspace is built in the bolt on Rim XI have access to those. I have a snap on torque wrench from my wrench turning days. I guess I’m from the old camp of headspace and go and no go gauges so I never did prefits but I like the idea of them.
Yeah I guess old habits die hard. I have all the tools and have swapped AR barrels. I guess that’s about the same. Bolt guns just intimidate me. All the precision and what notThe headspace is built in the bolt on Rim X
You don’t need to on the RimX. Just back off the wrench a hair away from the ejector. 3 years and no issues spinning barrels off and on. They don’t take a massive amount of torque to stay on and I own quite a few barrels for it.Be sure to take out ejector
@David Lott are they listed somewhere on the site?I have several available today and doing more tomorrow
DON'T take out the ejector when using an action wrench in a RimX. There's no purchase for the lugs on the wrench if you go past the point of the ejector.Be sure to take out ejector
