question for the gun gurus

has anyone here heard of a palmer and hale 30-06? my friends dad passed away this last week and i was helping him go through his rifle collection and move everything to his house. We came across a palmer and hale 30-06 that is gorgeous and he was wondering what kind of value this holds. He doesnt want to ever sell it just wondering
