Question from a new member. I just picked up a Remington 700 SPS Tactical .308. I ordered a McMillan A4 stock and Badger Ordnance M5 DBM. (Unfortunately the stock has a lead time of 5 months!). I was told by McMillan that I'll need to have the new stock pillar bedded for the DBM. Is this something I can do or do I need to have a gunsmith do this? They also told me the stock will be fully inletted so is bedding the stock necessary? And if someone can recommend a good gunsmith in Northern California? Thanks in advance. I love this rifle already! I put a Sightron SIII 6-24x50 on it and its a total blast to shoot.
