Hey guys,
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but it seems to be the most relevant to my question (as my question is the same as the OP)
I am planning on picking up a TRG22 and matching it with a NIGHTFORCE 12-42 x 56 NXS. After reading a few posts of a similar nature, I am considering a SPUHR Ideal Scope Mount System (ISMS) as it is a direct mount to it, as opposed to needing a pic rail also.
I intend to use it for F class and possibly fly shoots down here in Australia, so I will be setting it up primarily for 500-1000ish yard work.
This being the case, my understanding (just from reading the SPUHR website description) is that the ISMS has a built in 24MOA (vs 20MOA or similar to other brands/pic rails, etc) is this correct?
Also, the ISMS seems to have 34mm rings and a height of 35mm, whereas the NF scope has a 30mm tube (1.18in) and the objective measuring 56mm. Being that the ISMS comes specifically matched to the TRG will it work fine without causing issues with the size of the NF scope?
Thanks for your time and input guys, I appreciate it.
