Quick intro, new to the site.

Hello everyone, names Jordan and I'm from eastern-central PA. I've been lurking the past few months and decided to join after bringing home my late Christmas present this evening. SPS Tac .308

I'm not new to guns, But this is my first larger caliber boltgun and basically my start at long range marksmanship. My next step is to obviously get some glass on 'er, and stock up on cartridges. I do want to change the stock, probably going AICS or McMillan with new bottom metal. Then onto Atlas V8 etc. May take a bit but I have a few other projects in the works so I try to give them equal attention.

I'm looking forward to learning as much as possible and hope eventually I can contribute something positive to the community.

Thanks. Yea, I'm prepared. Like I said I have a couple other projects going so I kind of jump around from build to build. She'll get done though.

One thing I have to do is remove some material from the stock. It touches the barrel without having any load on it. Looking at picking up a Bushnell Elite or trying the Vortex Viper until I can afford to pick up a USOptic or something.

I know you probably haven't shot it yet but I would be curious to know if yours scratches the hell out of the brass when you have a full magazine and you cycle through the rounds. Mine did this and I had to polish the feed rails and the magazine lip to get it down to a light scratch from a very brutal scratch. Other than that it shoots very well.

You're doing it all wrong. I joined the site to get an idea of what to start with, and after two(three?) years, I"m just more confused as to what to buy. I'll get around to getting something other than shotguns and handguns eventually.
