Hello There!

So I have a bushnell 3200 Elite 10x40mm Scope, and im a sort of beginner when it comes to scopes and all, but I'm on the market to find a higher powered scope and while reading some info on a couple of scopes, i came across some info about the little hashes in between the turret adjustment markings and the line that marks which adjustment you are on. But it didnt actually tell me what those were or what they meant, just that that certain scope had a lot! So my question is what do those actually represent and what are they used for? (pic of the "hashes" of a scope just like mine)

Thank You!!!

I don't know what they might actually represent but after I zero my rifle I note in my logbook which hash shows. It's easy to see if you're a rotation out in the heat of a match. That said. I can still end up a rotation out thru stupidity!

Yeah i noticed that when i first zeroed in my scope and its funny cause i too noticed which hash my scope is zeroed at so that i know how far off i am from my zero, but i just always wondered what the hashes actually meant, the only thing that i could really come up with is that every little hash you're either a full MOA or MIL up or down, left or right, or something along those lines but im not too sure!

Reading this just made me realize that i should have bought the 20 MOA picatinny rail. My 100m zero is at turn #5 if memory serves me right. I have just spent quite some time trying to figure out how to reset the knob to zero for theese markings..

Rotation markers. Once you zero your scope, reset the turrets to zero, note what rotation they're on. From there, whenever you dial your elevation/windage whether up or down, left or right, you'll be able to return to zero.
