Yes, It does show one how much one still has to learn....
I love the program, the more I learn it, the more I love it...
I find it to be conservative in many areas when compared to Loading Manuals. This gives me a measure of confidence when doing load work-ups, as I think it would be unusual for QL load to be over pressure. Not saying you don't need to work up the loads still...
I read a paper by Chris Long on Optimal Barrel Time, and the quest for accuracy. I think if you do a search for it, you can find it on the internet, or you could PM me and I'll send a link from elsewhere in my computer. Anyway, QL has functions to help determine Barrel Time, which can be used in conjunction with the calculations for OBT nodes to help you find accuracy loads for your rifle without all of the ladder tests. Still would want to do some testing, but not the entire gamut. I have yet to fully test his theories, but have gotten some positive feedback from deadshot on Chris's work. If you want, I can update you once I have tried the test shots I have "developed" using these calculations. I am interested to see the results myself.
I do wish that it had a way to get updated powder/bullet charts---maybe it does and I just don't know it.
Have fun, and be safe,
