I tend to keep a fixed blade knife in every pack I rig, my vehicles, tackle box... just about everywhere. I've come to prefer the Mora scandi type knife due to ease of sharpening, great working edge and the fact that they are insanely cheap.
I have now placed four orders with this tiny US outfit and every experience has been a pleasure. In this last order, I sent the owner a question about sharpening using DMT diamond stones. He indicated that he uses a piece of fine grit polishing film glued to the back of a DMT credit card plate to strop, remove the edge burr... when I opened my order, there was a small piece of polishing film with handwritten instructions on the back.
It's a small thing, but he probably took 10-15 minutes of his day just to make sure the items I ordered would deliver the value he instended.
I will ABSOLUTELY send him more business. I have no ties with the company and do not know the owner.
