Rally at the Capital in DC this Saturday 02 Nov.

Oh BS....total BS. Go have your little rally. We will all be impressed.

The ONLY thing that matters is what happens at the ballot box.

I know how I'm voting.

Get the fuck out of here with that shit. They don’t fear you so neither your point of view nor your vote matter for shit. If voting made a difference they’d outlaw it too. The ONLY thing left at this point, short of open armed resistance/conflict is civil disobedience. This is where I am, fuck your laws-I will not comply.

Peaceful protests do nothing.

A giant crowd breaking state house windows when it is in session and wrecking their cars would send a message.

250000 armed people that show up and don't back down would send a message.

250,000 people showing up to a pro-2A rally in DC open carrying whatever would send a message. This is the civil disobedience I alluded to, since DC has very strict gun laws. Openly flaunt your god-given and protected constitutional rights in their faces and in ”their” city, daring them to do something.

Dan Gross sticks up for law abiding gun owners? What in the crystal-meth fuck is going on in the world?
“I’m here because I’ve seen how all of you, decent, responsible, law-abiding gun owners, are relentlessly, and, I believe, unfairly, demonized.”

??

Bullshit. This rally isn't what I thought it was.
That guy is not your friend.
I let the kumbaya LBGTXYZ name-drop inclusion bullshit slide.
This? No.
You don't let that guy speak at a gun rally. Unless you have "compromise" on your mind.

I was kind of suspicious about that myself, but couldn't it be possible for someone whose seen the anti gun bullshit from the inside see exactly how bad of bullshit it is and convert? Don't we always hope for this? Perhaps we don't see it often enough to believe it.

History is full of visible examples of turncoats--and some have been from our side to the other too.

No. If he is there, he is there to make it look like he is on your side. It's an overton window kind of thing.
Next thing you know, we will all be agreeing to some "common sense" common ground.
How has compromise worked for us thus far?

I agree that has been a problem for us. I'm not sure what to do with this information given that others who I know--or I think--are on our side were also there.

Sewing distrust among the faithful is a very effective tactic.
It also promotes division.
If he has "seen the light" let him denounce the Brady Fuckeration. Let him say they were wrong. I bet that wasn't his speech.

"He spoke of gun owners as “decent” people who lament tragedy just as non-gun owners do and suggested much of the gun debate can be settled via gun owners promoting firearm responsibility as passionately as they promote the right to own a firearm."

And there it is. Looks pretty harmless. It isn't.

You are being conditioned.

....Don't discount the quiet masses. They are quiet for a reason. A quiet man, is a dangerous man....he is also a very smart and cunning man.

.....A dangerous man, is dangerous, because he is slow to wrath.

The low turnout? My theory? The time for talk has passed. The people of this country stood up with a resounding yell in 2016. Since that time, there has been no end to the attack on the will of the people. It is positively earth scorching in it's rapacious nature.
The People are done with DC.

.....They also have enough sense right now, not to raise their hand and be counted.

If you are a felon overnight.....well
Be a good one.

Great writing and totally agree with the points as shown.

I have said it many times and in many posts....anonymity doesn't mean that you are a passive fuck. Many chest thumpers think it does...with everything being perpetrated on us, it takes more strength to keep quiet, stay in the shadows and wait until the time comes. I have no desire to be an identified target before the game even comes. I have no desire to set foot in DC as shameful and painful as it is for me to admit as I would love to take my kids to the memorials and museums that I have been to when I was there age. However, no thanks...place makes me sick...worse than any part of CA.

If and when the time comes, I intend to be an awesome felon

I do not agree that violent protest is appropriate but .... in terms of an "impact" .... yes, this would certainly get the attention people want with their otherwise small ineffective rallies.

haven't seen it covered on any news
Me either.

Strange.

One chick sits in front of her school with a sign she gets put in for the Nobel............

They probably didn’t know and it was so small and insignificant that it didn’t wind up on anyone’s radar. On the other hand, maybe all of this antigun rhetoric is literally just a game to gin up sales and interest in politics when they want, on all sides. My feeling is that most of this crap is literally all theatre on multiple levels. Politicians falsely accuse each other of crap to gain relevance and to win elections, they throw bills around to give the illusion that they do something important, throw the gun stuff around to do the same and to help the gun industry sell guns and ammo and so on cause they know it’s a hot topic and so on. Remember, at the end of the day a lot of these mofos that are supposedly against each other wind up hanging out and drinking in the same watering holes so....
