I was sure I threw in two range pickup cases in with mine, doing so since they all shared a Winchester head stamp.

Cannelures aside (didn’t realize the outsiders had none), guess how they stood out like sore thumbs…

7.62x51mm Lake City cases on the left, deliberately abused with incremental heating (annealing), attempted dilating necks with a mandrel…

5.56x45mm PMC cases on the right, annealed with appropriate, recommended non - Aztec settings (which turned out to be not so appropriate after all), also dilated with a mandrel… Brass thickness or composition must have departed radically from their usual.
