So I was wandering through the different features on my Android trying to find things that would assist my shooting and I came across this app in the Android marketplace called Maps Ruler. It is basically Google earth from the satellite view and you can tap any two or more locations to find the exact distance in a variety of conversions. It is free too. Anyway the more ways you have to find range the better and I did not know how widely this was known because I have never seen it talked about.

Re: rangefinding app

Reticle Ranger works pretty good if you know the size of the target you are shooting at. I had to use it the other week when I was in CO. You have to remember that Google Maps Ruler will not work if you are in the middle of nowhere with no internet signal. Not that we don't shoot in the middle of nowhere....
