Ranging formula inches/mills

whats the formula for ranging when size estimating the target in inches and using a mill reticle... i cant seem to remember and thats pretty sad... mainly i cant remember what te constant was. thanks...

In. X 25.4/Mil.= range meters

In. X 27.78/Mil.= range yards

thanks guys the 27.8 was what i couldnt remember for the life of me. im writing it in my data book right now lol..

and thats kinda funny how both your versions make the same end result..

inches X 27.8 / mill reading = yards

OR

inches / mill reading X 27.8 = yards
