Im using the Bushnell 3-12 LRHS. The reticle is awesome for hunting and 12x is plenty mag for a dedicated hunting rifle. It does give up glass quality to the gen 2 razor, but I find I use my binoculars for scanning anyways. Once I spot an animal, the LRHS is plenty to get a shot off. What optic is everyone running on their 7 lbs hunting rifles?
I'm interested to hear how it performs when you're shooting out to 1000, and in particular how things looks at max magnification. I do like that magnification range for hunting. It works well as a sort of mid-range spotting scope (i.e., better than x10 or x15 power binos) and should allow you to identify properly the animal you want to shoot.
Lost me when he said Razor clicks are not audible. They are very audible and tactile. You can hear them with ears on. Have 5 of them and all are like this.
Ok not as audible is what was said but having used a lot of the other optics it is as audible and tacticle as any I have used from Hensoldt on down including S&Bs, NF and USOs.
Atacr came in today. Looks like a great scope. Can't wait to get the rifle and mount it up.

so here is my question...why does audible matter? I am a hunter and dont shoot in comps so would prefer quieter. I am not counting clicks or anything. I just turn the dial to whatever value i want and go back to looking at the animal
Not a huge difference in weight, but noticable.
Anyone know what the ring on the eyepiece by the lens cap on the nightforce is for?
