Actually, at that point she could no longer perform the duties of the job and the WH would have to move forward with replacement. Otherwise, every case could potentially end in gridlock with a equal justice number. Can’t have that, especially if it’s a pressing issue.

I agree that the Whitehouse SHOULD do that, but I haven't been able to locate any historical record of a justice being removed, even when it was pretty obvious that the justice could no longer work effectively. Hence the problem...impeaching a justice is possible, I just don't think it would happen, even if it SHOULD happen.

The democrats oppose trump on about anything he puts forward, and replacing a liberal justice with conservative one would most certainly meet with opposition in the house and senate. I fear we are stuck with Ginsburg until she dies, or decides to retire.

Lots of folks jokingly refer to Ginsburg's corpse being propped up while democrats pretend she is still alive. While not likely in reality, I don't think the democrats wouldn't be above trying that if they thought they could pull it off.
