Does anyone out there have one of these??
I picked one up in a lot of boxes I bought at a estate sale.
My question is?
I am having a bitch of a time getting it to zero. The room has zero air flow and the scale is level. Both weight adjustments are zero and the dial is zero. I have adjusted the balance compesator to get it zero'd.
However, it does not hold the zero. Also, when I move the poise to 20 grain and put a 20grain check weght in the pan it falls about 1/8" below the zero line. This same check weight hits 20gr on my Denver Instrument MXX-123 so I am confident of the value.
Any suggestions?? I have cleaned the scale as much as I can. The balnce bearing are enclosed and I do not want to rip it apart.
HELP!!!!
Also, let me add! The previous owner glues a needle point to the end of the pointer. There are some needles taped to the bottom of the scale support as a counter weight I assume for the needle. I know this problay has a affect on the scale. But I have seen guys do this to other scales with no affect that I could see.
