RCBS CASE MASTER GAUGING TOOL

I have some money to spend at Cabelas and am in need of a concentricity gauge. I know the NECO is probably better and if I had gift cards to sinclair I would get it but what do you guys think of the RCBS CASE MASTER GAUGING TOOL? I like it for measure so many different things but if it doesn't do them well then it isn't worth it.

Thanks

Re: RCBS CASE MASTER GAUGING TOOL

I've never used any of the other gauges, but my Case Master works fine for me. Neck thickness measurements are not very precise, but you can differentiate really bad lots from more uniform lots. It would be nice to know the ACTUAL thickness if you had a tight neck chamber, but for that I think a ball mic is the only way to go.

Over the first couple of years of use, my v-blocks started to show wear at the point of case contact, but RCBS replaced the blocks at no charge with just a phone call. . .

There will surely be others who own several tools and can give you a better comparison.

The RCBS case master is okay but I think the Sinclair concentricity gage and the Redding neck thickness gage are much better. Once in a while I still use the case master and the needle attachment for measuring wall thickness near the case head (to look for signs of separation).
