Just picked up a 110V power unit for my manual RCBS Trim Pro.

Just wanted to say this thing makes brass prep MUCH more enjoyable. Before I would wear my arm out like a monkey on a music box. Now I can just drop a piece of brass on and let it do it's thing while I deburr/chamfer etc. on the previous piece. Once I drop that one in the bucket the next case is trimmed and ready.

I was hesitant about the price, but now I am glad I went that route. I can't wait to pick up the 3-way cutter and reduce the manual operations even more. Sure it's not a Gracie or Giraud, but it's a hell of a lot easier than my old Lee hand cutter.

And no, they don't come with the Surefire sticker. I have just run out of places to stick stickers.

Re: RCBS Trim Pro Power Unit

I just got my Power Trim Pro back from service at RCBS, and it runs like a dream...
I use the 3-way cutter heads and it is slow, but great for my arthritis.

Re: RCBS Trim Pro Power Unit

How much do they run? I cut the head off a bolt with the same thread pitch as the handle retaining bolt and chucked it up in my variable speed power drill. Works great but thats a pretty slick setup.

I use the RCBS Power Trimmer, and once you get the 3-way cutter.....it's the cats ass!!! Not as fast as some of the more expensive power trimmers, but it does the job just fine.

I didn't even know they had a tool that did that! This is going to the top of my toys list, what a time saver!

Re: RCBS Trim Pro Power Unit

I have the same manual trimmer, pulled the handle off and chucked the shaft in a 12 volt dewalt cordless. A little ghetto, but same idea, and FAST.

I did the same thing

I ran across a smoking deal on a Gracey over the winter though and now my TrimPro just collects dust.

Re: RCBS Trim Pro Power Unit

Before I got the power unit, I did have the drill conversion kit. I just didn't get as good a feel for the trimming. It was quicker for me to do it manually.

Now with the power unit it provides the forward pressure so it's a totally hands-off procedure.

The 3-way cutter is definitely on my list.

Re: RCBS Trim Pro Power Unit

I did the cordless drill thingy with my original trimmer, and it got old after a while. The power unit is very nice and does the job quite well.
