I have asked this question several different ways with no results, so i will ask it again a little more clearly. I need to know were i can find reloading data for RE17 and the 6.5CM and 243Win.

Re: RE17 need some load data!!!!!!!

What specifically are you looking for? Bullet weights you plan on using the RL-17 with would be a good idea.

Re: RE17 need some load data!!!!!!!

its close to imr4350 if that helps any

I also wanted to know the data for the 243 win. using 105 scenars bullet. If you have the info I really appreciate it. Don't mean to steal your thread Skeetlee

Re: RE17 need some load data!!!!!!!

no problem! What bullets do you think i would be using for the 6.5 creedmoor FCS This is a long range tactical shooting web page! Same goes with the 243 anything heavier than 75gr should go without being said, at least the way i see it! To pin point the bullet weight i will be trying in my 2 new rifles will be- 6.5CM 120gr class and with the 243 not real sure what bullet yet but it will be at least 75gr probably closer to 100gr. Thanks Lee

Re: RE17 need some load data!!!!!!!

Well Lee, I sure didn't think you'd be using 120s in the 6.5CM and at least 75s in the 6mm. This being a long range tactical shooting site n all, figured you'd be going with the higher BC bullets on the larger end of the spectrum.

Re: RE17 need some load data!!!!!!!

Whats wrong with the 120gr class of bullets for long range shooting with the 6.5 creedmoor. I personally think that the 120 class bullets is ideal for the 260rem or 6.5 creedmoor. I am not alone with this opinion either!
The bottom line to my response is, if you dont have anything to add, then dont respond with questions especially when you know, you dont know!! If you had some info reguarding RE17 you would have shared it with us. Lee

Re: RE17 need some load data!!!!!!!

This is from a doc that I copied and pasted.
I would post a link if I had one.
With some analytical technique you should be able to interpolate these data sets with a similar, yet unknown, cartridge to arrive at a safe starting load to work up.
Expansion ratio/time is the key.

NEW TECHNOLOGY MAXIMIZES VELOCITY

Alliant Powder introduces Reloder® 17, a smokeless powder that utilizes new technology to increase projectile velocity in most standard rifle calibers and the new short magnum cartridges.

Reloder® 17 was created with new technology to provide velocity greater than the competition in the most popular standard rifle calibers and the new short magnums. Following are recipes developed in our Ballistics Laboratory (all loads used Speer bullets and list the correct Overall Length- DO NOT SEAT THE BULLETS TO A LESS OVERALL LENGTH). These recipes are maximum loads and shall not be exceeded.
