jeez this thread went to hell, anyways thanks for the vids, well i must be a coward but whats wrong with what i do? why is it so bad that i would rather get up every morning go to work come home spend time with my gf and kid and fish and hunt on the weekends????? Nobody said you HAVE to join to live in america. why in the hell would i want to go get shot at when i can stay here and do this? if you feel thats its important that you join fine, im happy for you but i dont feel we are fighting for the right things. i personally dont TRUST the people that are sending us over there so why in the hell would i go finish a fight they started???? why put my gf and little girl through that????? They are the most important things in my life and i can take care of them and myself without any help from anyone. I hunt fish and can grow anything we need to eat so why go way the hell over there and serve our country that has plenty of problems here, its not gonna change a thing we are gonna keep fightin SOMEONE SOMEWHERE forever! Im sure plenty of you have seen your buddy hit or even killed right next to you and couldnt do a thing about it over there and me wanting to watch a video of it really struck a nerve but i simply wanted to see something real not a fake ass movie on hbo and i did. keep chewing me out and calling me a pussy thats fine, ill stay here and be a puss i dont want to fight, who in there right mind feels the need to get shot at or shoot someone that personally didnt do shit to you. the fishing hunting gf and kid sounds much better so ill stay here and be a puss,that fine with me.

Although I readily concede that I did make a fairly broad-brush statement with a side of sarcasm, I do firmly believe that the number who are content with being cheerleaders or critics from the sideline using any one of a number of lame excuses far exceed those who are willing to grab a rifle at let their actions speak.

Agreed. Your point brings to mind the political leaders of yesteryear who were quick to send someone else's child to war while using their clout to get a deferment for their's.

To the point at hand, Call of Duty and like games, have bred a mentality in many young people that would have been unthinkable to those of former generations. Thankfully for weapons and gear manufacturers, wantabees out number the real. Otherwise, their sales margins would be painfully thin. The "rub" as I understand it comes not from the able choosing another life track, it comes from the attitude of the able who stand up bluster without backing it with commitment. This correct?

Rackchaser71, how could you expect any other response from this community? Those here, who have donned the uniform, smelled the stench of your motives long before you recently revealed them. Instead of seeking video footage of gun driving for the purpose of knowledge and training, you simply were looking for a slasher movie with guys in uniform. Thankfully for you, there is a lot of crap like that on the internet. Free advise...I'd quit while I was behind. Fade to black and resurface with a decent comment or question.

the responses i have recieved from this "community" in the threads have been pretty consistant, and its not just me, every "stranger" i have seen ask a question has had the same results, i seem to be the white kid in the black neighborhood. Oh well ill just keep bouncing around here with the other shitheads. I don't have any problem with those that choose to stay home an not join up.

Where I do have a problem is those that don't want to join up, sticking their noses into everything the Military does, or is ask to do. Many chairborn types want to second guess everything, when the guy on the ground only has about 1/2 a second to make the call.

You ask us to do a job you won't, then want to watch real footage?
What do you gain by watching real footage,... thats a question I'd like answered.

Are you going to keep asking stupid questions until someone gives you the answer you want?? If the answers you are receiving are consistent than stick with those. They're probably the right ones. But don't feel like you must stick around. So you feel like the white kid in the black neighborhood? Why, because we wont satisfy your morbid curiosity? If you want to talk about rifles, talk about rifles. If you "feel" you "need" to see actual combat footage then man up and join a service. We've all had kids and baby momma's we've left at home; didn't stop us. Combat footage is not something to joke about or show off like a brownie button. No one likes to see that crap or be reminded of combat so why would we want to show it off? You haven't earned the right to see it.

Keep going to Google. Maybe you can ask Google the same question and it will refer you to some tactical airsoft site where you can see screen shots of Call of Duty.

You shoot at deer that have never done anything to you, and they can't fight back. That is some crappy logic, of course it's a war you didn't start. We, America, didn't start it either. Doesn't mean we can't finish it. Didn't start WWII either. No I haven't served, signed up, broke back, became cop. Go hunt and fish, it's what I do every chance I get, but stop getting pissed when you keep sticking your head out of the Whack-a-Mole hole. I'm guessing a serviceman getting asked this question is like every dill-weed asking me "how many people have you shot?". Lurk if you want but put some thought, real thought, into your next post.

edited to add: notice the low post count and registration date for me. I consider myself pretty well versed in gun stuff, but most of these guys are soo far ahead of me that I mostly lurk and read. And NEVER try to sensationalize or make entertainment of the suffering of others (especially LEO or Military), it makes you come off as a dick.

Is it so wrong to ask for consistency in why we are in a war? 1st reason doesn't pan out, we make up new ones? Seems kinda like grabbing at straws doesnt it?

I just think we should have concentrated on A-stan before opening up a new front. General Shinseki didn't resign because he thought the thing was a good idea. Just sayin'.

I agree that A stan should have been priority 1. Iraq would have been there later.
