I am curious to find out what rear bags you guys use when shooting a semi auto gun???

I have a DPMS 308B with a PRS stock, and I cant seem to get a good rear foundation with the bags I am using when shooting prone.

Pics would be helpful

Thanks

Sure. My top secret tactical rear bag. It is a Underarmor sock filled with dried beans and sewn together at the top. It's not fancy but gets the job done for me.

I use leather bags, but don't recall the brand. If you slide off the cover of the underside rail of the PRS, the stock will get a better grip on the rear bag.

An Accu-Shot rear monopod works well too.

I have thought about a monopod, but want something that I can use as well in F Class matches. Part of the problem is probably me, as I am still learning to get in a good position, but I can feel that I do not have a solid rear foundation when shooting prone

I'll do you one better, fill a sock with poly beads for stuffing in dolls or animals, from walmart or any other kraft store. Then once you have your "happy sock" filled to your liking just put a knot on the top.

The beans are a great idea but if they get wet they can mold, go mushy etc etc. The poly beads work great.

For my sock, I used an ARMY GI green sock. They work awesome for me.
