Suppressors Recommendations on AR15 smith for barrel cut down

I have done some looking around online here and cant find any firm information on someone to do some work on a LWRC Upper. I have the M6A3 upper with a 16" barrel. I need to have it cut down to 14.5" and have an AAC SPR/M4 mount perm installed....

Who should I trust to do this?

All help is appreciated

I have always heard good things about ADCO Firearms doing barrel chop and threading. I have not been in the AR loop for about a year now so I am not up on the latest and greatest in the AR world but when looking into this before ADCO was g2g.

Damn watching the Pats v Colts game slowed me down and I was beat to the punch.

Call Frank White at Compass Lake Engineering. I just had a 24" varmint contour barrel cut to 20", threaded and the contour was changed to lighten it up. With shipping I was charged $73.

I also have a LWRC M6A2 and was told by LWRC that having anyone but them take the barrel out voids warranty. Needless to say I had them do the work. Just an FYI, you may want to call them to see if this still applies if your concerned with it.

I have has AR barrel work done by ADCO. Good price, excellent quality work and fast turn around. They will get my business again.

Is there some secret to getting Steve at ADCO to return emails or answer his phone? I have a barrel I want to send, but the inability to get ahold of the guy gives me quite a bit of hesitation sending him work.

I seriously doubt that LWRC barrels are chrome lined? mine should not be, I specified against it.

I would have to go thru LWRC anyways to get the new barrel...

+1 for Steve at ADCO. He chopped a RRA barrel and perm attached an A2 compensator for around $70. I actually had travel plans and asked if he could accommodate my schedule, and delivered the upper the day I left.

From what I can tell he's not a bug fan of the phone, but has always returned my emails within 48hrs.

had frank at compass lake engineering thread a ltr and cut down and thread a marlin 917 for me not too long ago, great work, really fast, and i think i paid $40 a peice for them with thread protectors. total of 4 days not including the weekend.and for ar15's theres no better smith to use.
