Recommended buffer setup for 260 & 308 builds?

I've owned a DPMS LR-243 for a few years that has been 100% reliable and surprisingly accurate (the most accurate factory rifle I've ever owned). The only mods I've done to it are a Magpul PRS stock, Sierra Precision grip and JP trigger. Fast forward a few years and the POS state I live in is making my life safer by not allowing me to purchase any more evil guns after 1 Oct, so here I am planning to assemble two more 308 lowers.

I am planning a 260 build off a 22" JP barrel/gas block to be used for long range stuff, it'll have a dedicated Black Rain Ordnance upper/lower. Also building a general purpose 20" 308 with JP barrel/gas block, off a DPMS upper and Shadow Ops (if it ever arrives) lower. Both new lowers will use rifle length buffer tubes.

My question is what buffer & buffer spring setup would work best for the 260 and 308? My 243 still has stock DPMS buffer parts and I've had zero issues, but I haven't pushed the limits of my reloads either. I do not use suppressors and I'm not worried about recoil...just want to make sure the guns work from the get-go. I like quality parts, but don't want to spend money unnecessarily either.

Options include:
a) stock DPMS (or SOG Armory) buffer and buffer spring
b) JP Silent Capture JP - Buffer Springs and Silent Captured Springs
c) Slash's Heavy Buffer: Heavy Buffers | Products
d) other?

I have several large platform AR’s and I’m currently in the process of converting all of them over to the JP low mass bolt carrier, adjustable gas block and standard buffer and spring.
After shooting several rifles side by side the low mass large AR’s are noticeably nicer to shoot.

I have a BRO 308 right now and was going to sell it for a .260 set up. Do you know for a fact the JP barrel works on a BRO upper/lower? A tech at BRO told me they have a DPMS "style"barrel nut and assembly. Does JP use the same? I am going to sell a M&P10 because of to incompatibility with non smith items. I am on the fence on getting rid of my BRO do to what I have into it. If the BRO lower could accept a JP upper that is another piece of info I have been curious about. AR-15s are easy to swap stuff around do to mill specs. There is no mil spec for The AR-10 or large frame AR's so it is a guessing game on how well things will swap around( barrels, receivers, uppers, lowers, BCG, bolts, springs, triggers, etc). Just curious about what you know about the BRO and its compatibility.

Well, now you have me worried. BRO are marketed as being DPMS 308 compatible, as JP's 260/308 components are, so I assumed they would work.

Ok, I e-mailed JP and got an answer back in, amazingly enough, only 50 minutes. The BRO upper/lower should be compatible with JP's barrels.

Do you think the JP upper would work on the Bro lower? Or if the JP upper is DPMS compatible? I wouldn't mind having a 260 and 308 set up to shoot off my BRO lower.

My humble opinion doesn't really mean much, but from what I'm gathering yes, it should work.
