I have been looking to get a new digital scale. I have had the original RCBS digital scale since sometime in the early 1990's. I am starting to question its accuracy. I been looking and I don't think I have to spend a lot of money to get something accurate. I been looking at this but looking for first hand knowledge about the company and scale before I buy. I would entertain other suggestions too as long as the price isn't over $250.

Generally speaking, you are fighting an uphill battle regarding getting first hand experience on scales like that. The first says it uses a load cell and the second doesn't specify what technology it uses. My guess, it's also a load cell based system. If your doubting your current load cell system, why get another that is likely to have the same issues? I have never heard of either brand, but that is just me.

Your upper end of your price scale is right at the threshold for something like an A&D 120 which has many advantages. It uses force restorative technology, there is aftermarket support for it, be it Area 419 accessories or a full blown Autotricker setup and lastly the community knows the A&D scale, so you will find help available for it. Most who are willing to spend your budget, spend just a bit more to go with a well known and understood solution.

If you plan on loading for the rest of your life and not just for the next year
here are two scales you should look at. Very accurate and you wouldn't need to upgrade latter.
    Buy once, cry once.
Here's the link, just put in CAMBRIDGE in the coupon code area and reduce to $450 + SH and tax

Well, I've been reloading since 1989 and started out with Hornady beam scales made by Pacific I believe. Stopped for several years and rode ATV's (3 total) to the brink of death, got my head on straight and went back to my first love. So it would be safe to say I will be shooting and reloading hopefully for the next 30 years.

    I found the A&D EJ-123 for $326.00 shipped, the FX-120i is $485 shipped.
