I like looking at what bullets do after impact <span style="color: red"> ON ANIMALS </span> , on the lucky occasion that we find one. I've got a couple, and I'm sure all of you have a bunch, lets put them all together so we can all see.

Pics needed, stories help too.

Here is a .257 120gr SGK that made it almost all the way through a cow elk, (my first) found it just under the offside skin. the second pic is with an unfired one.

This one isn't out of an animal, but it is such a unique one, I had to share it. 240gr SWC out of my .44 rem mag, we were shooting a steel plate that I had made out of 1 inch thick mild steel, all the lead was simply splattering out in the usual circle pattern, until one well placed round landed in the very same hole that I had previously marked with an AP tungsten,(almost made it through the 1") the bullet bottomed out in the hole and bounced back landing at the shooters feet. wouldn't believe it if I hadn't been there.

Here's one I kept...120gr partiton fired from my .257 Weatherby to take the bull elk in the background. Shot was 385 yards, behind the left front shoulder, broke the right shoulder and was lodged under the skin there. Good performance from old technology.

Wife has killed a ton of deer with the 120 gr Sierra BTHP fired from her Win FWT in 257 Roberts, here's a recovered bullet from last year

Sasakatchewan bear taked with a 400gr Hornady RNSP fired from a 416 Rigby

Recovered from a dirt berm when I was testing 200 gr Lost River VLD's. These were fired at just over 3300fps at 100 yards from my 338 Lapua, I decided to pass on these.

168gr Barnes TSX recovered from a Saskatchewan whitetail, fired from my 300WSM at just a tad over 100 yards.

This is a .30 cal 150gr Nosler Accubond shot from a .300 WSM, the bullet was recovered from a mule deer just under the hide on the off side. The shot was around 370 yards.

This is a .375 cal 260gr Nosler Accubond shot from a .375 Remington Ultra Magnum @ 3070 fps. The bullet was recovered from a mule deer. It was a 560 yard head on shot, I hit the deer center of the chest and found the bullet just under the hide on the underside near the pelvic bone.

Barnes 85 TSX that we recovered from a WT taken at 283yds with a 243. It was quartering towards at the shot and the bullet was recovered from the far hip after traveling the length of the deer.

69gr SMK from a WT at 96yds. Broke the shoulder and stopped right under the skin on the far side.

Left behind from a 175 SMK after taking a WT at 392 yds. It was below us and quartering away when the bullet entered at the back of the rib cage and exited low to the right side of the brisket. The deer just folded at the shot and we recovered this much of the bullet.

250 Partition recovered from an elk. 338 RUM, 3000fps 125 yard up hill shot. I only had the head and neck for a shot and she was facing me. Bullet hit her in the throat, up into the spine and followed the back bone for about 36", taking out a bit of back strap in the process, shattering vertebrae the whole way.

Here is a 150g Winchester Power Point recovered by a buddy from a whitetail buck from his .30-06 at about 30 yards.

Here is a 110g Hornady Interbond from a .25-06 at about 330 yards. It penetrated through the front should and was lodged in the neck with a quartering away shot on a whitetail buck.

Great pics everyone, the only bullet I have ever recovered was a ballistic tip in a WT doe. It was 150 grains out of a 7mm she took 5 steps and fell. All other shoots passed straight through.

180 grain accubond, it was fired from a 300 weatherby mag at 220yds. Bull took three steps to collect himself and then hit the dirt. Went through front shoulder and was found under the hide on the other side.

250 grain TC Shockwave in front of two pellets (100 grains) of 777 -- not sure of the velocity, but safe to say it is not fast . Weight of the used round was 221 grains. Muzzle loader of course. Passed behind shoulder of an 8 point WT and was stuck in the skin on far side.

230gr Goldensaber recovered after headshot on a Charlois bull.

180gr Hornady SST from 300 WM. Recovered from mule deer shot at 360 yards. final weight 113gr.

270gr Barnes TSX recovered from feral hog shot at 30 yards.

more 270 gr TSX's recovered from Gemsbok. Shots ranged from 425 yards down to 20 yards. The one on the far right was at 20 yards through the ball of the shoulder which accounts for it loosing 2 petals

One more 270 TSX recovered from Zebra. Shot at 150 yards, bullet stopped against the ball of the off side shoulder.

All of the 270gr Barnes TSX's were fired from a 375 H&H at about 2800 FPS. All had recovered weights between 269.8 and 270.2 with the exception of the one that lost 2 petals which retained 230gr weight. While the one did loose two petal i wouldn't consider it to be a failure. I believe it held up as well as any bullet could considering the placement, and impact speed.

This is the .338 Lapua Magnum slug dug out of the skull of a Mexican drug cartel member shot at just under 1000 meters by Sgt. Jethro Gibbs 20 years ago.
I know it looks small for a .338, but Gibbs has huge fingers. He used to play football and he builds boats in his basement.

Gibbs assassinated Pedro in retribution for Pedro's involvement in killing the Sgt's wife and young child.

Here is the live round he carelessly left behind at the scene. It was picked up by a beautiful cartel family member, who wore it as a necklace for the past 20 years.

She gave the round to an NCIS forensics specialist who, when presented with the above slug, matched it back to Gibb's service sniper rifle, using advanced forensic science.

For now, we don't know if the investigator will expose Gibbs as the shooter, or if she will cover for the tough but loving boss who has given her a tanker load of Caf-Pow.

Sorry I chased the cheerio but that big sumbitch dropped like a fucking rock and after that long I was tired of chasing that motherfucker. Yes it took another shot for him not to get up. Yes I missed two times in between the first and last shot due to I couldn't fucking breathe, see or stand the fuck up after the "death march" of nine hours over four fucking mountains with you smoking cigaretts and laughing at my out of shape ass at 9000 feet. Yes I threw the fuck up once we finally made it over to him and I nearly passed the fuck out from my head spinning, and would I do it again YOUR GAWD DAMN RIGHT! I would leave tomorrow. Speaking of pics post some of the "Stacks" they wanna see!

I am gonna embarrass him a little bit too. Don't get me wrong, you DO NOT want this sumbitch on your trail, but he goes over and beyond on that duty by skinning each animal (elk, etc) that is edible and donating every part he can to feed people in the area and make supplies which he is not required to do. Do the numbers and it comes out about 10-15 elk per day not counting the other animals. EHG is a helluva guy and I am DAMN PROUD to call him my friend and brother!
