Redding 700 Ultramag Single stage Press

Anyone here own and use this press ? looking at it for replacement or addition to RCBS RC. loading 338 edge and similar calibers.

worth the money ? others with same height but cheaper ?

I can't speak to this particular press, but I do have the Big Boss II from Redding and it is a solid piece of equipment, as is everything that I own from Redding. I noticed that you pulled from Midway's website. I have found that the reviews on that site tend to be pretty much on target with the quality of the product and it appears that this press is getting 5 stars. It seems that the way the linkage is setup on this press that you would be able to generate a significant amount of leverage.

Have one. Fine press. Looooong stroke. Be sure you need that length of opening before you buy. It is a bit inconvenient for standard length cartridges. For the .338 Lapua and kin, it is great. Very strong and accurately machined. For standard length the Rockchucker is handier. JMHO

I have one and like everything Redding makes, quality is second to none. open front design and excellent linkage make this the best single stage press available IMHO.
