Redding Type S bushing die question

I'm using a Redding Type S precision bushing die on my 308. Full length die. As shown in the photo it's only doing the neck half way down. I tried an old rcbs die and it does the whole neck. Is this normal on the Redding? I'm bumping the shoulder about 1-2 thousandth

Screw the die top down until it stops.
Back it out 1/16th to an 1/8th of a turn.
Shake the die. You should hear the bushing click a tiny bit.
That's it. You're done.

It will size about 90% of the neck.
That's the way it's designed.

I agree, I don't think you have your bushing stop screwed in far enough.

40 years of reloading..Geez. The bushing stop ring worked itself down and it felt like it was bottomed out. It wasn't. All better now. Thanks.
