Reduced load 300wsm?

At this point I’ve only shot competitions, but want to get into hunting. I have a 300wsm that was given to me. I now know I’m a recoil baby. Friggen thing is really not enjoyable at all. Is it worth downloading to make it manageable or should I sell and buy something that I don’t hate shooting?

Worth trying reduced loading if you can find IMR 4895 or H 4895 powder. Take there publishd load, then reduce it:

No option for a muzzle brake? If not, there is some clamp on models that would help you out.

Another option is lighter bullets which equals less recoil.
