reloading, start to finish, 4part video series, for my 6.5 grendel

Do you ever run your tests round robin? A since from environment/barrel variables, for me a lot of times the difference in a .25 group and a .7 group is all mental. Round robin spreads that variable evenly over the test. It’s always fun to watch groups take shape. You see the groups popping up but it gets you out of the group shooting mentality. It makes it more like a dot drill which I think makes more of a “constant” for the test. It would be cool to watch a RR test in this video format with the target on screen.

Not knocking your test at all though that’s impressive shooting for a PSA. Hit me up and I’ll send you a bag for testing!

I suppose I could. I just take a solid rest between groups to make sure the barrel doesnt get too hot. I have done round Robin with some of my bolt actions tho.

Thanks for posting these. I just dusted off my Grendel that's been sitting in the safe for years and decided it's time to start seriously reloading for it. These have been hugely helpful!

Finally got some ladders built and snuck out to the range today. Started at the lower end of the scale and will maybe try a 2nd ladder going up. Looks like the mid 27g load might be the key so far.

6.5 Grendel, Vortex Viper PST Mil
Rise Armament trigger
24" ER Shaw bull barrel, 1:10
Hornady AMax 123g
XBR8208
CCI450 Magnum Small rifle primers
Hornady once fired brass, full length sized.
100yds, 38°, Light-mid tail winds.
2520fps (average)
