SigTwo,

Can you post a couple close up pics of the new scope knobs? I have a Leupy VX-L that I'm thinking about sending back for the same mod. Mind if I ask what they charge to install the tactical knobs? Also do they have the ability to set a zero position? By that I mean is there a set screw or something that can be loosened so the dials can be switched to zero and then re-tightened without moving the cross-hairs after you have the scope zeroed at your chosen distance.

Just paint the rings/mount with some krylon.
Don't get another barrel until that one is worn out.
Instead get set up for reloading and work on developing a load that suits your rifle and then hone your skills.
Shoot the piss out of it until the barrel screams for mercy.
You can fall into the deception that the ubber sniperrific match barreled, fiboed stock, 3 oz stoned trigger and a blackhawk hat will make you the best shooter........It won't.
Practice, shoot,learn and listen.

Both Windage and elevation knobs can be reset to zero after zeroing rifle to proper P.O.I. Both knobs installed cost about hundred dollars. There is a set screw in the top of the knobs to lock them back to zero. Took leupold about 3 weeks to make the knobs and install pedstals on scope. Just have the ballistic data on your gun.
