Rem 40X rimfire special builds

I'm waiting to find if I got my order in for the 40X USMC marked barreled action with trigger.Great starter for plinker, trainer, expensive toy, sons gift some time. I remember some builds that were posted, building into a repeater. Who had luck doing it, what other parts were needed, is it too stupid of an idea for GAP to build, AAICS or Mac stock?. You know, the usual questions. Any info response appreciated. Jeff.

If you sent in your order last Friday, you should be good. They did not sell as quickly as expected. The full rifles went quick, though.

My 40-X based build is in a McMillan Prone stock and has a Krieger barrel with no recoil lug. The thing is a hammer. I bought a barreled action and think I want to get something with a threaded barrel for suppression. I didn't want to touch my other 40-X because it shoots so well and that goes against my philosophy of not messing with a gun that shoots.

Not really a custom build, but I did put it together. It shoots to damn well so I have never entertained the idea of modding it into a repeater.

I don't know why no recoil lug. Gene Davis builds without and it shoots, so I am not going to argue with it.
