Gunsmithing Rem 700 actions? or just buy an ADL....

Only retailer I can find for 700 SA's is Brownell's, at $500...
I can buy an entire rifle (ADL,), new, for $50 more...

Is there another retailer with a better price?

Or, guess I'll just start hitting up the pawn shops for a "donor" action like I did for my Savage...

Check with "Bugholes"...Southern Precision Rifles. He usually has trued SA actions for not much more than that.

If you're near an Academy, ADLs go for around $380.

If there's one near you try Bass Pro Shops. I bought two Remington 700 LA ADL Sportsmans and a 700 SA ADL with a Realtree camo stock and paid 429.99 per rifle. I bought them just for the action.

This, I have gotten all of my donor actions from remington adl actions from Bass Pro. Then you could probably sell the stock, trigger and barrel and have less than 300 in an action.

Check out your sportsman's warehouse. They almost always have ADL's for 399.

I got my last ADL 300 ultra mag at sportsmans for around $380 - i used it for my 338 Lapua build & it worked out great.

Also, check out Gunbroker's website.

KSL.com's classifieds/firearms section has a ton of great deals in the utah/midwest area - many of the private sellers will ship to you through an FFL
