I have a Remington 700 22-250 that I am selling right now. I bought it from another guy here in MI who had almost never shot it but it was more of a safe queen. I could tell that it had rarely been handled because the action had little to no wear and the barrel looked good.
He sold it as a Remington 700 SPS Varmint but now that I am looking at it and looking into it I realize it was made well before the SPS series started. It was made in 1994 and I believe it came with the HS-Precision stock that I sold. The stock was definitely HS-Precision (identical to the one they put on the Sendero). Anyways, SPS series didn't start until 2005 according to Remington's website so now I am just trying to figure out what series of the 700 this is and if it will change the value of the rifle at all (either + or -). Condition is excellent with the exception to 2 very very small flecks of surface rust on the barrel.
Anything you can tell me would be helpful. I can call Remington tomorrow but I would like to find out tonight if I can so that I can change my listing on here.
Thanks ahead of time.
