I purchased this gun new in 1999. I have taken it on two hunts to WY and it preformed flawlessly. It will shoot sub 1/4" groups out of a rest @ 100 yards with factory fed gold match.
I recently have been thinking about trading it as I'm into older S&W pistols and there is no deer hunting in IN with a 308. I have been asked a few questions about it but I cant find this gun on Remington's website. I still have the box and paperwork but it gives no details ie: rate of twist ect.
Does Remington no longer make this gun? I also was asked if this gun had the 5R barrel, sorry but I don't know what that means.
