Gunsmithing Rem 721 Long Action .243 build?

So I have a 721 long action, and a Rem 700 243 barrel.

What else do I need to make this work? I have magazine followers for both long and short action.

Will it be cheaper to do than buying a used Rem 700 243?

Nothing. All you need to do is headspace the barrel.

Yes, bottom metal is dictated by the action, not the caliber.
