I bought that same barrel for my 223. Just finished loading up some 75 eld-m’s. I’ll shoot it next Friday.

I got the match 26” MTU 5/8x24 threaded barrel. I only have 20 rounds down it and I’m tuning a load for it now. Had to open up the feed lips on my accurate 223 mag so I could feed a round with an OAL of 2.500

I used to shoot berger 80 vld in my 223ai, had to open up the accurate mag as well. Hopefully it will shoot great.

Range trip #2 is in the books........ran handloads ranging from 36gr to 40gr of IMR4350, and bullets seated to COAL of 2.80 so they will fit in the box mag nicely. Both 37gr and 38gr shot about .691", so I think I have a place to start. I took my daughter along, and she shot a .154" group with those Winchester factory loads I bought a couple weeks back! I was giving her some shit for slapping the trigger on her .223, and she shut me up with that group from my rifle, lol.

Another interesting thing......zeroed last week, then removed the stock and replaced the trigger (which is sweet, btw).....installed the stock to the same 40 in-lbs torque, and the zero was still perfect. I completely expected to tweak it a bit, but no need.
