Gunsmithing Remage with short mags?

Not sure if this is in the right section, or if barrel nuts are considered gunsmithing.... but anyway....

How do you guys feel about building a 6.5 PRC with a remage barrel nut? I know criterion won't do it, and some smiths take issue with short mags and savage small shanks. As far as I can tell the remage and the savage small shank are about the same.

I built a 300WSM with a Shilen Savage small shank on a Savage action. Still have my face about 100 rounds later. I would imagine, by any time the barrel would see enough repeated stress, it would be shot out before the chamber wall cracked. If that is even a thing that could happen. Something I am not even worried in the slightest about.

I already burned down a 7 saum barrel with a barrel nut and am well into another.
No issues.

I think it’s more a matter of what can happen with silly pressures.
