I have a Rem 600 in 308 Win. It's arguably the best cartidge in the 600 Mohawk with it's 18" barrel. They are light, portable, and reasonably accurate. The factory stock has a hard plastic buttplate and I find it causes bruising with factory loads. A jacket will stop that, though I replaced the stock with an HS-Precision with a recoil pad. It's good for shooting offhand. Not made for prone or from a rest. I used mine for NRA silhouette.
Inexpensive would be under $600 in today's inflated dollars.
Whether you have a use for it is your decision.
