Remington 700 .223 in an AICS?

I know that the .223 short action will fit into the AICS chassis, but is there any way to modify the mags (like bending the feed lips) so that the magazines can be used with this chassis?

I have tweeked the lips of the .300 win mag so that it will feed a 6.5x55SE, but I don't see this working for a 7.62 to 5.56.

Thoughts? Comments?
