Hows the cerakote feel on the 700?

Very nice. I had Duracoat on it before I sent in to them, the Cerakote is much nicer. They did a very nice job.

Not sure I'm following but it's a thin smooth coating with no "gunky" to it. Are you saying most custom guns have bad cerakote jobs???

I'm saying that most customs and 700s i've handled that are cerakoted with the exception of my friends LRI built defiance have been gunky as hell. Which is why i've shy'd away from cerakote completely and gone to DLC for actions. I guess to that degree i've answered my own question i was basically asking if it felt smooth, not gunky.

Got it. That makes sense. While I can't compare to what you have felt in the past, I will say that I personally never felt that way handling the rifle. It felt thin, smooth, and durable.

Take a look at the close up pictures of the engravings on the barrel. That should at least give you an idea.

I've had my 6.5 cm from LRI for a few months now and its the most accurate rifle I have ever shot. Great people to work with and you wont be disappointed

LRI does great work...my barreled action shoots lights out...their customer service is second to none! LRI customer for life.

Not to mention chad's wait time on barreling is second to none either. Least to my knowledge 14 days is the quickest in the business.
